{"id":1434,"date":"2012-09-27T22:20:57","date_gmt":"2012-09-28T03:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/birdingnotes.sigridsanders.com\/?p=1434"},"modified":"2012-10-11T14:11:09","modified_gmt":"2012-10-11T19:11:09","slug":"tennessee-warbler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/birdingnotes.sigridsanders.com\/?p=1434","title":{"rendered":"Tennessee Warbler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ruby-throated Hummingbirds were dueling around the feeder \u2013 one of them zipping so close to my head I could feel the whirring buzz of its wings \u2013 and a Tufted Titmice was hovering under the deck umbrella, cleaning out the spider webs, when a small, quickly moving bird arrived in the leaves of the white oak next to the deck. A plain, greenish-gray on the back and wings, pale underneath, with a hint of a yellow throat, a white eye-stripe and very faint wing-bars \u2013 it was a female Tennessee Warbler. She moved mostly over the smaller branches, gleaning insects or spiders from the leaves.
